I began my real estate career in 2008 working in commercial real estate finance, where I helped to underwrite and close over $300 million of commercial loans and managed a commercial loan servicing portfolio. During that time, I also studied to be a certified general appraiser and obtained my PA real estate salesperson license. I began helping people buy and sell property as a real estate agent and then transitioned to selling residential and commercial real estate full time. I subsequently started a real estate team, The Street Group and currently have three agents working under me. 

In 2015 I started my own construction company, Hestia Construction, LLC, under which I began by doing work for others and flipping houses, focusing on design driven renovations and properties with original features and historical charm.  We quickly made a name for ourselves for our quality construction work and unique designs, and we have a list of buyers waiting for one of our projects. In 2017, this led to me be casted as the host of my own television show on the DIY Network called “Philly Revival”, which was filmed from 2018-2020, when it aired, and it follows my renovation projects from demolition, through design and rehab, to the final out-sale. My television show aired on both HGTV and the DIY Network, as well as internationally. Hestia Construction is a PA licensed Home Improvement Contractor, a Philadelphia-licensed General Contractor, and an EPA-certified Renovation Firm. 

The out-sale prices of my projects have ranged from $289,900 to $790,000 and have included anything from cosmetic rehabs to full complete renovation with additions and structural alterations. I manage all aspects of the real estate and construction, from purchase and design to renovation, staging, and out-sale. My extensive background in finance, valuation, and construction allows me to evaluate opportunities as they come in, and using my own team from start to finish helps streamline the process. 

Aside from construction and real estate, I also do design and home staging for others, coaching for investors, and am co-owner of an EPA-certified lead dust testing company, Salus Lead Services. I am a member of the Builders Association of Philadelphia, the Greater Philadelphia Association of Realtors, and have served on the board of the Passyunk Avenue Business Improvement District. I also earned a Certificate of Construction Management from Temple University. 

Throughout my career I have won several awards, including Philadelphia Magazine’s “Best of Philly” for my construction work, Philadelphia Magazine’s “Top Real Estate Producers”, Real Producers “Top 500 Agents”, and The Philadelphia Inquirer’s Influencer’s of Real Estate “Rising Star of Real Estate” Award, as well as awards at my real estate brokerage for sales volume and community service. I have have been featured in countless publications, including The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post Magazine, Forbes, Insider, The Philadelphia Inquirer, Philadelphia Magazine, Better Homes & Gardens, and more. I am also the co-author of a book The Only Woman in the Room, which includes knowledge and inspiration from various women real estate investors.  

My construction company is also known for its various community service endeavors, from pro-bono home repairs for homeowners in need (which was the subject of an article in The Philadelphia Inquirer), block builds and cleanups, and our work with Generation T, which is a program through Lowes Home Improvement to encourage young people to get into the trades. I regularly do workshops with at-risk youth from low-income households and those transitioning out of the foster care system (I am a foster mom myself to two teenage boys) to teach them about the opportunities in the trades and how to start your own business making money through real estate investing.  

I am currently a resident of East Passyunk in South Philadelphia, where many of my projects are located.
